New Member Program!

First Friday is a new program for HDVI members and prospective members. Current and expired members are encouraged to bring guests who may be interested in becoming members to the museum for a social hour and brief activity/talk on a special topic. Non-alcoholic beverages and light snack provided.


Free Children's Days Have Returned!

Historic Dumfries Virginia, Inc. is bringing back its Free Children’s Days program sponsored by Walmart. Free Children’s Days will be held at the museum annex every third Saturday of the month from 1:00-3:00pm. Each program includes a themed learning activity and craft and a small snack/beverage.

Homeschool Day

Tuesday March 6th 10:00am-2:00pm

The Weems-Botts Museum welcomes all area homeschool families to stop by and visit our site. Take a tour of the Weems-Botts house museum and enjoy colonial writing activities in the museum annex. $5/child; adults free.


Spring Break Boredom Busters

Tuesday March 27th – Thursday March 29th 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Looking for something to do during Spring Break? Come visit us at the Weems-Botts Museum annex and learn about colonial history through hands-on activities.

Pricing: $10 per child/day or $25 per child/all three days. Parents can join or drop-off during the duration of the program.
